From the first call to watching, in four steps

No building work, no servers. A small device installed next to your cameras that works on its own.

  1. Study

    We look at your installation and work out what hardware you need based on the number of cameras and what needs detecting. No obligation.

  2. Ready-made pack

    It arrives configured: the device, the cables labelled with their number and the switch. Everything in its place.

  3. Installation

    We install it or guide you step by step. You'll have it running and on your phone in no time.

  4. Watching

    You choose zones and schedules from your phone. We make sure it keeps working.

It also tells you when it's the one that fails

A device without power or internet can't report its own failure. That's why every Cobax sends a signal to our service every few minutes, and if it stops arriving, we message you.

  • External watchdog. An alert if the device stops sending signals and another when it's back.
  • Signed updates. They install themselves overnight and, if anything fails, roll back to the previous version.
  • Recovers by itself. If something hangs, it restarts without you having to do anything.
  • Weekly PDF report with alerts, hours watched and incidents, by Telegram or email.
  • From anywhere. Your company's own address, protected with a PIN, that installs on your phone like an app.

Watching without intruding

Cobax analyses the images on the device, inside your company. You decide what is seen, what is recorded and how long it is kept.

  • Private zones. Cover neighbours' windows, the public street or workstations: they're neither analysed nor recorded.
  • Automatic deletion. Recordings are deleted automatically within 30 days at most, the legal limit.
  • CCTV sign and information sheet, ready to print.

Clear from the start

We'd rather you know what Cobax does and doesn't do before installing it.

  • It isn't an alarm connected to a monitoring centre.Cobax alerts you, on your phone. It doesn't call the police or a monitoring centre, and it doesn't replace a certified alarm if you need one.
  • Artificial intelligence can get it wrong.Very far away, in the dark without infrared or with the camera covered, it may miss someone, and now and then it will alert you unnecessarily. Zones and settings help fine-tune it.
  • It needs power and internet to alert you.Without power it doesn't watch, and without internet alerts wait until it's back. If the device stops sending signals, we alert you from outside.
  • The Baby and Care modes help, but they are not medical devices.They don't monitor breathing or replace adult supervision, telecare or emergency services.
  • It works with IP cameras.It needs cameras with RTSP access or a USB webcam. Many cameras that only work through the manufacturer's cloud won't do: we'll confirm first.
  • It's in development.Cobax already runs in trial installations and improves with every version. What you see here is what it does today.

Frequently asked questions

Will the cameras I already have work?

If they're IP cameras with RTSP access, they most likely will. We check during the study. If you have no cameras or they aren't compatible, the pack includes them.

Does it need internet to work?

To watch and record, no: everything happens on the device. Internet is used to send you alerts, view it from your phone and receive updates.

What if the power goes out?

When the power comes back, the device starts up and goes back to watching by itself. Meanwhile, our external watchdog tells you it isn't sending signals. With a small UPS it rides out short outages.

Does it work at night?

Yes, with cameras that have infrared night vision. The artificial intelligence works with the image the camera provides: the better it is, the more reliable the detection.

How much does it cost?

It depends on the number of cameras and what needs detecting. After the study we give you a fixed quote: the prepared hardware and a maintenance fee.

What about data protection?

Cobax is designed to make GDPR compliance easier: it processes on site, lets you cover private zones, deletes recordings within 30 days at most and gives you the CCTV sign. How the system is used remains each company's responsibility.
